There was a meeting for the Vocation Promoters on 21st September 2024 afternoon at 3 O’ Clock
at Chowara. The major concerns that came up during the meetings are the following. Vocation
promotion is a lengthy process that often requires guiding students from an early age. Various
methods exist to discover vocations, particularly by visiting parishes on Sundays, schools, and
engaging with families. Maintaining strong and enduring relationships with families is essential
for fostering vocations. It necessitates time and support from community members. Brothers can
effectively promote vocations in their parishes during holiday periods. A positive environment is
essential for fostering a sense of vocation within the community. It is important for formators and
members of the formation community to support students in developing their vocations, rather than
dissuading them.
It is beneficial to have two individuals collaborate on vocation promotion rather than pursuing it
alone. Additionally, a vocation promoter must have a genuine affection for their congregation
VOCATION PROMOTERS’ MEET to effectively advocate for vocations. We also
deliberated on organizing vocation camps to enhance and support their vocation.
When seeking to promote vocations, it is essential to exercise caution in several areas. Initially, one
should prioritize building a strong relationship before inquiring about vocations directly. It is
important to avoid being intrusive or inappropriate in our interactions with families. Additionally,
understanding the attitudes of young people in today’s society is crucial. Furthermore, it is vital
to engage in prayer for vocations. The media team should play an active role in this effort, as effectivem promotion of vocations can be achieved through various media channels.
