The year 2024 was declared as the Year of Formation
in our Congregation. In line with this, the
Santhome Minor Seminary of the Liguori Province
in Kerala invited the parents of the formees to join
in a family get together. The gathering, named La
Famiglia La Felicità 2024 (The Happy Family),
took place with much enthusiasm.
The parents of the formees, from various parts of Kerala, arrived
in the morning for a day of reflection, celebration,
and bonding. The event began with a solemn
celebration of Holy Qurbana, officiated by the
Vicar Provincial, Rev. Fr. Shiju Mullasseril. During
the homily, Fr. Shijo Meppilly, the Secretary of
Formation, acknowledged and appreciated the
parents for their dedication and commitment to
the congregation. He emphasized the significance
of initial formation and the crucial role parents
play in shaping their children’s spiritual journey.
The celebration continued with cultural programs,
bringing joy and laughter to the gathering. In his
address, Fr. Shiju Mullasseril conveyed the regards
of the Provincial, Rev. Fr. Poly Kannampuzha,
to the parents and also took the opportunity to
congratulate the Formators for their unwavering
commitment and dedication to the formation
process. The event was truly memorable, as it
allowed the parents to witness firsthand the
growth and development of their children
within the Redemptorist family. The parents
shared their experiences and insights, deepening
their understanding of the Redemptorist family
spirit and the importance of fostering a sense
of community and shared purpose. Overall,
La Famiglia La Felicità 2024 was a beautiful
expression of gratitude and unity, strengthening
the bond between the formees, their families and
the Redemptorist Congregation.
